Anna Meissner
Founder
A social entrepreneur from the Czech Republic, Anna has focused her career on education. After completing her master's in law, she founded Cherry Tree, a forest-inspired international preschool in Prague. Anna is currently completing her master's degree in Jewish education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Melton Centre. In 2024 Anna founded the Shalem Foundation, supporting Jewish and Israeli causes, bringing together philanthropic ventures she has been pursuing for more than a decade, both operationally and financially.
Ory Weihs
Co-Founder
Israeli living in Prague, Ory is an entrepreneur and investor in a variety of different companies such as Mews, Medorion, 4Trans. He is a founding LP at CzechFounders VC and Director at XLMedia PLC. Ory uses his years of experience in business development, marketing, and finance to expand the fund’s reach and to pursue new initiatives to support. He believes Israel is the eternal home of the Jewish people and their trusted allies and strives for the the country to continue being a leader in innovation & human rights in the Middle East.

The founders are personally committed to the fund’s operation, take no management and/or operational fees and practice maximum transparency and accountability towards our donors.
Partnering with local initiatives and volunteers, we personally oversee and monitor the use of funds. Donors receive regular and live updates from the field.

The IDFWO is the the representative body for widows and orphans at the legislative level and in the face of the wider public, and through year-round programs, projects and activities it offers emotional, social, financial, and any other necessary support.
The Druze Veterans Association was established in 2009 in order to provide intensive support for the integration of Druze soldiers, released from the IDF, into Israeli society.
